Our clients in Hampton had an ambitious project to convert their bungalow into a two storey house that would make the most of their beautiful seafront view. The internal accommodation on the ground floor was rearranged to create a new roomy side entrance and hall so the front could house a new open plan kitchen-dining and living space, with a new terrace overlooking the bay.
The roof was removed and replaced with a steeper pitch and inhabited to create two new bedrooms, a bathroom and en-suite. The master bedroom at the front incorporated large aluminium glazing looking towards the sea. The whole house was updated with white render and grey aluminium windows. We secured planning permission for the project, and then the clients took it through and managed the rest of the stages with a range of subcontractors.
